`Skype Party for Kuroshitsuji Episode 3

楽しい！

I wish I could go for it but it is past midnight! Yes, I slept in the afternoon and woke up at 1.30am just to watch Kuroshitsuji before resuming my supposedly afternoon duties.

I felt really tired the next day (but really happy) so I think I shall not risk it. I will still be subbing it within 24hours after it is broadcast.

This Party will have someone to translate it simultaneously through the microphone on skype so everyone will have an idea of what the episode is about! Which means fans can understand the episode earlier!

Here is a guide on how to participate:

1. you need your local time
World Clock

2. you need Skype
If you don't have skype, install it and create an account.

3. you need a headset or speakers
If you do not have a microphone it is no problem unless you are the person that will be so kind to translate simultaneously. If you really want to say anything you can still chat with the group.

If you do have a microphone please make sure that you have your speakers turned off and listen over your headset so we won't have echoes.

4. You need to be added by me
I created an account so I won't mix anything up. The skype name is kuroshitsuji_party. Add me and write in your introductory message that you want to participate and if you could be a translating party or not (country and/or native language would be nice. Reason see below)

If you're not sure how to add me say so below and give me your skype name (you can also do this via personal message if you don't want to disclose that information to everyone)

5. You need Keyhole TV
With Keyhole TV you can watch Japanese TV live. That includes MBS, where the episode will air first (see time and date above).
The quality is below 240p but you can see what's happening, most of the time.
Without it you won't be able to see anything.
The updated version can be found here
It exists for Windows and Mac and Linux.

6. Be online ahead of time
Especially as it's the first time I'll conduct a group conversation it'll take some time to set everything up and to test how it works best (like if everyone but the translator needs to turn off their mikes)

Be online at 1.00 am Japanese time at the LATEST. I think it would be fun to have a pre-party anyhow and it will give us enough time to set everything up.

I WILL BLOCK PEOPLE WHO CONTACT ME AFTER THE SHOW HAS STARTED !!!

Last but not least:
I will have a guest that day so I am not absolutely certain if I will be able to host. For that reason I would give the password to the translator (or anyone else who feels responsible) so that he/she can host the group conversation in case I won't be online with the account by 01:00 o'clock Japanese time. Please let me know below if you feel reliable enough to carry that responsibility."

There appears to be some error with your translation/You missed a part of the translation
Firstly, I apologise for this. If you do notice an error, please inform me via email or tagboard so that I can retify the mistakes as quickly as possible.

The email I sent to you was not replied
It could be due to 3 reasons, either I am busy, thus not being able to go online, the email was sent to junkbox or it simply wasn't delivered. If it is the former, I will try my best to reply as soon as possible, so please be patient! If you think it belongs to the latter 2 reasons, then please resend it again.

Is it alright for you to help me translate some materials?
I don't mind but I may be slow with the upcoming Kuroshitsuji episodes. I do know that my translation isn't perfect so please pardon me on that.

Can I use you materials on my website?
Sure, you may! But please note the following
I. My materials are not for profit gain
II. My materials must not be used for religious & racial discrimination, violence or pornographic purposes
III. Credits to be made to the respective owners, eg. if I embed a video from youtube, credit to be made to the uploader instead

Once again I must stressed that my translation is not perfect, it's merely a skeletal guide to the dialouges, before the subs are released. There is no editor for my translations and all these are done to provide all fans an inkling to the episode/manga/doujinshi. I try to keep the dialouges as close to the Japanese version as possible and hope that everyone reading can overlook the poor translations I've provided

THE HANGED MAN

A man hanging by one foot from a Tau cross - sometimes from a bar or tree. His free leg is always bent to form a "4," his face is always peaceful, never suffering. Sometimes his hands are bound, sometimes they dangle. Sometimes coins fall out of his pockets or hands.

Basic Tarot Story The Fool settles beneath a tree, intent on finding his spiritual self. There he stays for nine days, without eating, barely moving. People pass by him, animals, clouds, the wind, the rain, the stars, sun and moon. On the ninth day, with no conscious thought of why, he climbs a branch and dangles upside down like a child, giving up for a moment, all that he is, wants, knows or cares about. Coins fall from his pockets and as he gazes down on them - seeing them not as money but only as round bits of metal - everything suddenly changes perspective. It is as if he's hanging between the mundane world and the spiritual world, able to see both. It is a dazzling moment, dreamlike yet crystal clear. Connections he never understood before are made, mysteries are revealed. But timeless as this moment of clarity seems, he realizes that it will not last. Very soon, he must right himself, and when he does, things will be different. He will have to act on what he's learned. For now, however, he just hangs, weightless as if underwater, observing, absorbing, seeing.

Basic Tarot Meaning With Neptune (or Water) as its planet, the Hanged Man is perhaps the most fascinating card in the deck. It reflects the story of Odin who offered himself as a sacrifice in order to gain knowledge. Hanging from the world tree, wounded by a spear, given no bread or mead, he hung for nine days. On the last day, he saw on the ground runes that had fallen from the tree, understood their meaning, and, coming down, scooped them up for his own. All knowledge is to be found in these runes. The Hanged Man, in similar fashion, is a card about suspension, not life or death. This is a time of trial or meditation, selflessness, sacrifice, prophecy. The Querent stops resisting; instead he makes himself vulnerable, sacrifices his position or opposition, and in doing so, gains illumination. Answers that eluded him become clear, solutions to problems are found. He sees the world differently, has almost mystical insights. This card can also imply a time when everything just stands still, a time of rest and reflection before moving on. Things will continue on in a moment, but for now, they float, timeless. Thirteen's Observations Neptune is spirituality, dreams, psychic abilities, and the Hanged Man is afloat in these. He is also 12, the opposite of the World card, 21. With the World card you go infinitely out. With the Hanged Man, you go infinitely in. This card signifies a time of insight so deep that, for a moment, nothing but that insight exists. All Tarot readers have such moments when we see, with absolute clarity, the whole picture, the entire message offered by a spread. The Hanged Man symbolizes such moments of suspension between physical and mystical worlds. Such moments don't last, and they usually require some kind of sacrifice. Sacrifice of a belief or perspective, a wish, dream, hope, money, time or even selfhood. In order to gain, you must give. Sometimes you need to sacrifice cherished positions, open yourself to other truths, other perspectives in order to find solutions, in order to bring about change. One thing is certain, whether the insight is great or small, spiritual or mundane, once you have been the Hanged Man you never see things quite the same.
